Michella Kox and Louisa Janssen were an inseparable duo in Real Girls in the Jungle. They were even so close that they got their own series together, called Michella and Louisa Werken Mee. But now the besties suddenly seem miles apart. How can that suddenly happen?
‘Met her in the jungle’
In a candid conversation on Jessie Maya’s YouTube channel, Michelle opens up about her relationship with Louisa. “Let me get one thing straight forever: Louisa and I made a program and really got to know each other in the jungle last year. She is a nice, funny woman and from that a new program was born. During the program I already knew: I don’t want this.”
Argument between Michella and Louisa
An argument arose during the recording of Michella and Louisa Werken Mee. “The viewer doesn’t know that. We were at the farmer’s house and had to guide cows across the ditch. I couldn’t do it and then she said: ‘Hurry up, stop complaining.’ That’s where we got into an argument.”
No contact
However, this was not the reason why the two ex-besties decided to break off contact. This only happened later during the press day. ‘Something happened there’ that means they are no longer in contact. Michella says that Louisa has apologized for the incident. Yet friendship is no longer possible for Mies. “If you screw me once, I can’t do it anymore.”
Close in Suriname
The significant escalation that Michella describes took place before the filming of the final season of Real Girls in the Jungle. But in the last series, Michella and Louisa seemed quite close in the jungle of Suriname, right? According to Mies, this bond turned out to be primarily functional. “You know each other, so that’s easier. Then we entered the jungle together.”
Knife in the back
Anyone who thought that the Surinamese adventure would bring about reconciliation is wrong. “I called her after the press day to say that I respect that she had remained so calm. And then suddenly I stabbed her in the back on social media. Then I thought: ‘f*ck you, Louisa’. I’m so angry with her. This is purely the truth. I wish her the best in her life, but not in mine anymore.”
