The Emperor and Empress of Japan are currently visiting Europe. They are paying a state visit to Great Britain.
Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako were received this morning by King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William. After the welcoming ceremony, the party went to Buckingham Palace for lunch. The Emperor rode to Buckingham Palace with King Charles in a carriage, and Queen Camilla rode together with the Japanese Empress in a carriage.
The empress wore a white face mask. This no longer has anything to do with corona, but with the empress’s horse allergy. The royal group is also not very large. Princess Catherine is missing due to her illness. Princess Anne is also missing, she is in hospital with minor head injuries and a concussion after being kicked by a horse.
Fashion Camilla
Queen Camilla wore a long white robe manteau. Camilla often wears long coats, which suit her figure very well. She completes her look with a large white hat with black accents.

Fashion Masako
Empress Masako wears a white long lace coat on a matching skirt or dress. Her white hat has a band of the same lace, which is tied together with a bow at the back of the hat.
State banquet
During the state banquet, both ladies, the Queen and the Empress, wore light dresses. In England, the queen often wears a white dress. But also in Japan the empress often wears a shade of white.
