The new season of Echte Gooische Moeders is off to a hilarious start again.
We had to be patient, but the new season of Echte Gooische Moeders finally started on Monday. In the first episode, Pauline Wingelaar has an important mission: she has to find a silver fork, and to do so she dives into the trash can – armed with a metal detector.
Real Gooische Mothers
In Echte Gooische Moeders we follow the adventures of Florine, Pauline, Bo, Leslie and Kimberly. We see the beautiful sides of their lives with many funny moments, but also the setbacks they face. In conversation with Grazia, Bo recently lifted the veil on the new season. “Each of us has our own storyline,” she revealed. “I am very busy preparing for my wedding. (…) The other mothers are busy with their own personal things. Kimberly’s desire to have children is still present, which is why she takes the viewer through her fertility journey. Leslie has struggled with depression and is coming out with a book about it.”
Missing fork
Real Gooische Mother Pauline also has her own storyline, but the first episode of the new season mainly focuses on her silver fork. Because when Pauline finds out that she is missing one, a mild panic arises. “Would I have thrown that away?” she asks herself. That will have to be, because her lover Harmen also has no idea where the fork has gone. “I’ve only seen one,” he says. Pauline quickly draws a conclusion: she must have thrown the fork in the trash while clearing the table.
Metal detector
And what is the fastest way to get your fork back? Correct! You just take the metal detector from the attic. Although Pauline is convinced that her plan will succeed, her husband is less enthusiastic. “In any case, I’m not going to pry into those things,” he immediately tells his wife.
Pauline decides to turn on the device anyway and throw it around the trash can. The metal detector makes a lot of noise, which really gives her hope that the fork is in the trash. “He’s really into it,” you hear her say.
Unfortunately
Pauline feels that she is close and decides to turn the trash can upside down in her kitchen. “I could have done it outside,” she looks back afterwards. Wearing gloves, she sifts through the trash in her trash can. But then Pauline makes a disappointing discovery: “Damn, it (the metal detector, ed.) also works on aluminum.” Unfortunately, she no longer finds her silver fork, but as positive as she is, Pauline always has a solution: “Opie would say: ‘Better too expensive than not for sale.’ So we’ll just buy a new one.”
