Before we discuss which couples are still together, let the experts of the program speak first. We previously wrote about behavioral biologist Patrick, who encountered certain things in the program. As a result, he did not always support the choices made, but he does not look badly at the failed matches. His highlight was the match between Malou and Sarath. “It was a failure and yet they turned the switch. I think that is a highlight,” says Patrick. Anne also mentions that Bastiaan and Suzanne tried to make the best of it despite their mismatch. The experts are proud of the candidates and their dedication.
Elderly and attraction
What were the real low points and areas for improvement of Married At First Sight? The experts say that it will always be difficult to match older couples. How does that happen? They are alone longer and that results in less correction from their environment. When they suddenly get into a relationship, it is sometimes confrontational for them.
Not only that, but the attraction is also something that the experts can’t always put their fingers on. However, this seems to be changing, because the experts can do more to see what is absolutely not attractive. They will measure this attraction next season together with a college.

And now, the participants: how are they? We could see that Jeppe and Jantine were the only ones who found real love in this season.
Jeffrey and Jerney
We saw Jeffrey and Jerney remain happily married, but here’s the big plot twist: they’re no longer together. Carlo asks Anne about the highs and lows, and she continues: “They have decided to split up. That hit me very hard. Jeffrey had been on holiday and he noticed that he had not missed Jerney.” We can’t believe our ears! From then on, the couple started talking and decided to part ways.
David
David did not find love, but he did make lifelong friendships from the program. ‘You know it can’t work, but I had hoped that we had really started the experiment. Even though I sometimes look back on the marriage with a bit of sadness, I think the experiment has brought me a lot. The program has also contributed to his own development and he is now busy with his music again.
Kim and Suzanne
Kim and Suzanne have not found love, but they have found a very dear friendship. I feel very comfortable in my own skin. I am very happy with where I am now,” says the cheerful Kim we know. “I completely agree with that,” says Suzanne.
Gerben
After this love adventure, Gerben looks to the future again with a cheerful look. ‘I would have preferred to see the outcome differently, unfortunately it should not have been that way. But my self-confidence has been boosted by this adventure. That does me good,” he says cheerfully.
Erik
Erik wanted to go on this adventure one hundred percent, but unfortunately that didn’t work out. Gerben has also found himself a lot and has learned a lot about himself. “I think a lot of it was because of me. “I should have taken that step and I didn’t,” he says.
Bastiaan
Bastiaan has absolutely no regrets about his participation. At the moment he is happy in his apartment with his cuddly toy Hugsy. When he sees what the program has given him, it has been an investment for him. By this he refers to the new woman in his life. ‘Someone I’ve had contact with in the past sent me a message asking if I wanted to go for a drink soon. And I responded to that. So we are going to discover that quietly and very secretly.’
