We were able to catch a glimpse of the garment during a video meeting in February 2022, but two years later we finally know what we are talking about.
It is not a dress, nor deux-pieces with skirt, but a gray pleated top with trousers from fashion house Natan. Máxima wore the top today during a working visit to Ontmoetingswerkplaats De JoJo, a residents’ initiative run by volunteers in Sassenheim.
Everyone can go to De JoJo for a cup of coffee, a hot meal or items from the giveaway shop. You can also do DIY together with others in the workshop. By working together, learning from each other and supporting each other, a safe place is created for people who have the wind at their backs and against them. People come with a migration background, families who eat together every week and young people who have nowhere else to go.
The JoJo was one of the winners of an Appeltje van Oranje in October 2023. The Apple of Orange is an award for successful social initiatives that involve people in society.
