At the end of last month the sad news emerged that Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella Kingston, had suddenly passed away. Yesterday the family said goodbye to their beloved brother, son, and husband.

However, at the end of last month the fairy tale suddenly came to an end: on February 27, Buckingham Palace announced that Thomas Kingston had been found dead at his parental home. Investigation determined a gunshot wound to the head as the cause of death, for which Thomas was most likely responsible. A gun was found near his body, and no evidence was found that would indicate suspicious circumstances.
Parting
The family said goodbye to Thomas in the Chapel Royal of St James’s Palace yesterday. In addition to Gabriella and her parents, Prince William, Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, and Princess Alexandra, the Honorable Lady Ogilvy, were also present. In total, about 140 people attended the service for the businessman. Afterwards he was cremated privately.
The royal couple, Charles and Camilla, did not attend. Buckingham Palace shared, according to Royalty watcher Rebecca English, that Charles is ‘currently unable to attend events of such a larger scale’, and that Camilla had committed to hosting the WOW reception at the palace.
The service that took place yesterday was relatively small. This was followed by a reception at St James’s Palace. Buckingham Palace may want to organize a larger memorial service for Thomas in the near future.

A statement on his death was previously issued on behalf of Thomas’ family. “It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.
