According to Shirley, being famous has many advantages. She explains to her 229,000 followers that she gets a lot of free things, sometimes has priority at events and goes to places she normally wouldn’t go. Plus, she meets a lot of new people and is treated with love, which are all great extras of course.

But as with many things, being famous has a downside. The reality star shared a funny anecdote about her experience on King’s Day during a festival in Zwolle.
Constantly recognized
She was constantly recognized among the crowd, which meant she couldn’t even talk normally to her friends. “I couldn’t sing along to a song or get a drink,” she says. It became so overwhelming that she had to leave the festival site after just two hours.

Although she understands that people want to take pictures with her, the constant attention was overwhelming. In order to still be able to enjoy the festival somewhat anonymously, Shirley decided to take funny measures. She shared hilarious photos of herself in different hats and glasses, but nothing seemed to help. “I couldn’t even pee,” she adds, laughing.
