Done with your pony? This way you ensure that it grows beautifully

Useful tips for a beautiful haircut!

Princess Sofia of Sweden proved in 2022 that bangs can look great, but you have to have the right head shape for it. Moreover, a pony is not always practical and requires a lot of maintenance. Do you regret your bangs and would you like to let them grow out? With these tips you will ensure that this process runs smoothly.

1. Keep your hair healthy

The number one tip for growing out your bangs beautifully is to keep your hair healthy. Healthy hair grows faster and is stronger, while unhealthy hair breaks off faster. So if you want radiant, healthy locks, it is important to pamper your locks every now and then. You can do this at home by, for example, using a nourishing hair mask every week. And of course it doesn’t have to be done every week, but a treatment by a hair salon is recommended every now and then, especially if you have opted for bangs. After all, professionals know exactly what your hair needs and can care for your locks properly.

2. Have your bangs cut in the middle

This of course sounds contradictory: cutting your bangs while you just want to let them grow out. However, cutting your bangs can actually make your hair grow faster. But be careful: don’t try to work with your kitchen scissors yourself. Have a professional thin out your bangs so that the bangs are a bit lighter and resemble a curtain bang. You know, those locks that Ms. Lopez wears along her face. Chic!

3. Have your front strands cut into layers

If your bangs are already a little longer, Washington hairstylist Susan Williams recommends having your front strands cut in layers. This way your bangs will blend seamlessly with the rest of your hair. In addition, you get more volume in your hair, which is key to keeping your bangs looking good while you grow them out.

4. Give your hair some texture

Are you not yet completely satisfied with your new look? Then give your locks and bangs some texture with a dry shampoo or a texturizing spray. This way you get more volume and your bangs fit better with the rest of your hair.

5. Wear your hair back

Do you no longer find the look of the long-haired dachshund so cool? Then you can always wear your short locks back. For example, think of a braid or a tight ponytail (with a generous amount of gel, of course). And don’t forget to purchase a few extra hair clips, because you will put them to good use!

6. Give your bangs more volume

We’ve said it before, but we’ll say it again: volume is key. Is your pony an awkward length? Adding body and texture to your front strands lifts them above the brow bone, maintaining length. How do you do that? With a good hairdryer, of course! Invest in a good hair dryer brush. and blow-dry your bangs in the opposite direction for extra volume. Hello, full head of hair!
