Máxima visited a waste processing company today and that resulted in special pictures.

During the visit she will be given a tour of the company. She carries out a waste scan to gain insight into waste sorting and receives explanations from employees about a new sorting installation that separates hard plastics from waste. Hard plastics are released from a wide variety of products that are discarded, such as containers, garden furniture, household items and toys. The circular material that comes from this sorting installation is used in the production of new end products. Recycled hard plastics from general waste are used, for example, in packaging crates. An even higher-quality application is that of recycled hard plastics from discarded refrigerators in new refrigerators or toys. The better the sorting of the incoming waste stream, the higher the quality of the material that Renewi produces, up to the highest quality requirements.
