‘I immediately thought: ah, that’s who you are’
The new season of The Real Housewives of Amsterdam may have only just started, but it is already clear that certain ladies do not really like each other – to say the least. This includes Susanna Klibansky and Tamara Elbas, who have a serious collision in the latest episode during a ‘fun’ boat trip.
On the stick
In today’s episode the housewives visit Djamila in Mallorca. And although the preparations for the trip to Mallorca already caused a lot of drama, that certainly did not change during the actual trip. Susanna and Tamara are clearly not cut from the same cloth, so Susanna decides to speak to her fellow housewife about this during a boat trip.
Kind of ugly
Susanna tells Tamara that she thinks Tamara often gives her opinion when no one asks for it. “I don’t find that very relaxing. Why would you consciously say something very negative about someone?” she asks Tamara. Susanna also adds something that we saw in the previous episode. The housewives were invited to Hella to compete to see who could decorate the most beautiful table.
During this match, Tamara shouted ‘boring’ when Susanna was speaking: something that still doesn’t sit well with Susanna. “I thought that was rude,” she says. Tamara admits that she can be very nasty during a competition, but that is not enough for Susanna. “I immediately thought: ah, that’s who you are. You’re kind of ugly. Can’t you keep it to yourself? I’ve always learned that.”
No excuses
Yet Maria couldn’t resist getting involved and standing up for her friend Tamara. “It is not necessarily meant to be hateful,” she tries to justify. “But you can do something about it too,” Susanna then says to Maria. “You can also say, ‘Oh, your shoes are ugly.’”
Ultimately, Tamara tries to explain why she can sometimes come across that way to the other ladies. “I was born and raised in Volendam. Everyone is very close to the cart there.” Still, Susanna doesn’t find it an excuse to act like this. “Then you can give the other person a very unpleasant feeling. Not everyone is like us. I don’t like that for the other person.” Ai, how is this going to end?
