A Christmas card? No: the Zwoyals are moving with the times.
Last week we received the first royal Christmas cards from Great Britain, Spain, Belgium and Monaco. From Sweden it remained quiet – until now! And the wait is rewarded, because where other royals stick to a modest card, the Zwoyals come up with a cute Christmas video.
Royal Christmas cards
Since the countdown calendar for Christmas still shows two weeks, the royals have come out en masse to provide the people with their loving Christmas wishes. Charles and Camilla kicked off with a somewhat impersonal card, followed by the Waleses, who shared a photo in which some body parts seemed to be depicted not entirely realistically. A little later, the Belgians sent their Christmas card with a new and old family photo into the world, and not much later the Spanish royals wished the people Feliz Navidad with a stately card. Albert, Charlene and the twins recently joined the list by appearing full glam on the Monegasque Christmas card.
Christmas video
Most palaces have already shared their Christmas wishes for a long time, but the Zwoyals, among others, were still waiting. However, they more than make up for that, because the Swedish court is not sharing a card today, but a Christmas video. The video shows how Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and kids Estelle and Oscar are getting ready for Christmas. The crown prince family rolls up their sleeves to make their own Christmas decorations for their home. At the end of the video, the couple babbles something in Swedish that we suspect means “Merry Christmas.”

Christmas outfits
Of course we managed to find out what was being worn in the video. According to the experts at Royal Fashion Police, Princess Victoria has purchased a new little black dress from Soft Goat Cashmere for the Christmas event. Estelle matches mothers in a cashmere sweater and cute skirt, Oscar wears a typical, not so royal, but nice Christmas sweater, and Prince Daniel, as usual, sticks to the principle of less is more. All in all a beautiful picture, and we must admit that the Zwoyals have taken the cake at least so far when it comes to royal Christmas messages this year – although we are still waiting for the Oranjes. We will wait patiently for that…
