The tree is decorated with more than 400 (LED) lights.
While the entire country is preparing for the holidays, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima also seem to be fully immersed in the Christmas joy. The Oranges have placed an impressive nine-meter-high Christmas tree on the forecourt of their residential palace Huis ten Bosch.

Since Sunday there has been a beautifully decorated Christmas tree at Huis ten Bosch again. The royal family shared a video on its Instagram account, showing how the Christmas tree is brought to the square in front of the residential palace of the king and his family in The Hague. To stay in the Christmas spirit, some nice Christmas music has been added to the video. You can view it below:

First Sunday of Advent
As usual, the nine-meter-high Christmas tree was placed and decorated on the first Sunday of Advent. Transporting and decorating the Christmas tree turns out to be quite a task that requires a tow truck, an aerial work platform and a whole team of employees. We then see how the tree is festively decorated with more than four hundred (LED) lights. It is clear that the Oranges adhere to the motto ‘less is more’, because the tree is not provided with Christmas balls or garlands. They’re right!
Comments
There are positive comments under the Instagram post. “What a job, but the result is beautiful,” says one follower. Other followers respond: “Very atmospheric!”, “Beautiful picture 😍” and “What a beautiful tree!”. In addition, an observant follower reports that the Christmas tree has been removed from the forests of the Het Loo crown estate. How fun!
Christmas card
At the end of December 2022, a very glamorous Christmas card from the Oranges was published. The card showed the royal family at their absolute best. King Willem-Alexander appeared in a tight tuxedo that would not look out of place on the average James Bond, and he proudly poses among his girls. We see the three A’s shining in their enviable dresses and of course our queen: beautiful as always with the dog Mambo in her arm. We at Glamial secretly hope for a Christmas present like this again this year!
