Haarlem
We definitely recommend a day of shopping in the capital of North Holland. The city has everything you are looking for: from the large, well-known clothing stores to nice boutique shops. The famous and picturesque ‘Golden Streets’ are full of small boutiques, local entrepreneurs and nice shops. You will find these cozy streets right in the center. One of the streets has even been voted the nicest shopping street in the Netherlands several times, the Kleine Houtstraat. Do you want to go to a nice city on Saturday? It’s a lot of fun in Haarlem on Saturdays. The restaurants and cafes are full, the market is on the Grote Markt square and the city is alive.
Utrecht
The centrally located city of Utrecht has a lot to offer when it comes to shops. Mainly the large retail chains can be found along the Vredenburg, Lange Elisabethstraat, Steenweg and Oudegracht. Around here you will find all kinds of nice streets with boutiques, gift shops and delicatessens. It rains? Then you have also come to the right place in Utrecht. The Hoog Catharijne shopping center will keep you entertained for hours. The indoor shopping center has more than a hundred shops and nice eateries. The shopping center has several parking garages and is adjacent to Utrecht Central Station.
Eindhoven
Eindhoven, the craziest, is also great for a day of shopping. In the Netherlands’ city of lights you will find countless nice shops and unique businesses. Also in Eindhoven you can shop dry in two different indoor shopping centers in the center, Piazza and the Heuvel Galerie. Want to end the day with good food? Visit the food halls on the former Philips site.
Arnhem
The Gelderland city of Arnhem is also definitely worth a day of shopping. The Koningstraat is the shopping street where you can find everything, but Arnhem also has streets where you will find the nicest shops. In the Klarendal Fashion Quarter everything revolves around fashion, design and art. Here you will find workshops and studios of both emerging talent and established names. Definitely fun to take a look.
Maastricht
The city of Maastricht has a lot to offer when it comes to shopping. The compact and pleasant city is packed with nice shops. In the Big State, the chance that you will succeed is very high. All the well-known shops are located here, but don’t forget the other shopping streets of Maastricht. Because it is precisely those streets that make a day of shopping in Maastricht worth it. From the central station you first come across a beautiful district called Wyck. Many say that this is the most beautiful part of Maastricht and we understand why. There are plenty of shops here that you might want to pop into. Do you want to shop luxuriously in Maastricht? Then you go to the Stokstraatkwartier.
