From now on you no longer have to go to the cinema for the film of the year.
Good news for anyone who has not yet been to the cinema or would simply like to join us for another movie night: Barbie can be streamed on HBO Max, so from now on you can watch it from the comfort of your home.

Whether you like it or not: Barbie cannot be missed. It is without a doubt the film of the year, and has broken records all over the world. However, it may of course be the case that you have not yet had the time or inclination to go to the cinema. In that case we have good news, because you can now finally watch Barbie from your living room. Although the film is still in theaters, HBO Max is now the first streaming service to offer it outside. Wonderful when you fancy a bright pink film with a feminist twist, but also want to keep your slippers, a warm blanket and a bottle of rosé within reach.
Second part
With the enormous success of the first Barbie film, you would expect that it is high time to prepare a part two. There are just different opinions about whether that second part will happen. For example, to the great disappointment of fans, Greta Gerwig said in an interview with The New York Times that she is not thinking about making a second Barbie. “I have that feeling after every film: that I’m never going to get a new idea about this specific subject. “I’ve told you everything I want to tell you about Barbie,” she said at the time.
Yet other sounds can also be heard in the corridors. For example, none other than Margot Robbie, aka Barbie herself, previously shared that there has already been talk about a sequel to Barbie. “But it could go in a million different directions,” she said in an interview with Time. We therefore place all our hopes on Margot’s statements and manifest that a second part will be announced soon. For now, we’re happy that we can stay indoors to stream the first deal!
