Good news for Grey’s Anatomy fans!
Grab the popcorn, because a new season of Grey’s Anatomy is coming! The makers understand all too well that we continue to enjoy all the drama and romance in the series. Our beloved hospital series is getting a 21st season and we are very happy about that.
Good news
The series has been providing joy, romance and the occasional tear-away for years. It is therefore not without reason that we have been following the series for twenty seasons. The fact that the news came out with the announcement of a new season caused a lot of joy in the editorial office.
Storyline
The series takes you into the lives of various doctors, surgeons and medical staff working at Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital. Not only do exceptional patients pass by, we also get a glimpse into the lives of the staff. You are drawn into the relationships, problems and friendships of the characters.
Lead actress Ellen Pompeo takes center stage in her role as Meredith Grey, as we follow her journey on both a personal and professional level. We see how she develops as a surgeon, but we also experience her heartbreaking moments and complex relationships. We closely follow her close friendship with Cristina Yang, the growing bond with her sister Lexi and the romantic relationship with McDreamy.
Lots of episodes
Grey’s Anatomy is known as one of the longest series. It is therefore perhaps not very surprising that another extra season has been announced. The seasons often consist of many episodes. Grey’s Anatomy currently has 423 episodes! However, the twentieth season only consisted of ten episodes. Fortunately, you can indulge yourself with the new season, as it consists of many episodes as usual.
New season
In the new season, however, not everything is as we are used to. For example, in the twentieth season we saw Meredith Gray fade more into the background. In this new season she will no longer be seen in every episode. It is time for a new generation of doctors to take over their role and step into the spotlight.
Not much else is known about the new season. “The loyalty and love of Grey’s Anatomy fans has led us to a historic 21st season, and I am incredibly grateful,” Shonda Rhimes, director of the beloved series, told Variety.
