We are fans!
Now that 2024 has started, we can’t help but prepare for new trends in the field of fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Many make-up artists are up-to-date when it comes to the make-up trends of 2024. We have therefore listed every trend for you.
1.Soft grunge

Yes, you read that right: the grunge look is back! This time, however, we prefer to go for a softer touch and ignore the hard techniques. The soft grunge trend includes deep, matte lipsticks, smudged eyeliner, smoky eyeshadow and a matte complexion. So you can skip bronzer and blush for this look. The difference with the hardcore grunge trend is that we use softer tones instead of just black. For example, brown and navy blue are great colors to create this look.
2. Ethereal accents

This trend focuses on a fresh, radiant finish and includes subtle accents. Examples of this are highlighters with a mega shimmer and accentuated inner corners of the eyes. We apply lipstick lightly, by coloring only the center of the lips and then blending it out to the outside. To complete it, apply another layer of lip gloss over the lipstick.
3. Balletcore makeup

This romantic, fresh makeup look was extremely popular in 2023 and we will see it again a lot in the coming year. This make-up style can easily be combined into a dreamy look with a cute outfit and the popular hair bow. The balletcore trend includes glowing bases, lips with a gloss and pink-tinged cheeks and eyes. To realize this trend, well-hydrated skin is very important. Therefore, make sure you add a rich amount of products to your skin care routine.
4. All shades of red

From bright red to cherry and ruby, all shades of red are welcome in 2024. Many of course use these colors primarily on the lips or nails, but in the coming year there is room to experiment with this beautiful color. Red blush will become part of our make-up routines more often and we will no longer ignore red eye shadow and eyeliner. Do you have skin that turns red quickly or do you suffer from rosacea? Then we understand that you prefer to avoid the color red. A good tip to try is to apply a red blush in a different way. Start by applying the blush to your temples and blend it out to your hairline. Believe us, it works wonders!
