Queen Mathilde is stepping out of her comfort zone! What a completely different dress for her. Maria Teresa also wears a special dress on the occasion of the performance in return.
A state visit is currently underway and not only in the Netherlands. In our neighboring country Belgium, eyes are also focused on the Royals. Not least because the son of the Grand Duchess Josephine-Charlotte from Belgium is visiting. Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg are paying a 3-day state visit to the country, where Henri’s roots partly lie. The Grand Duke is a cousin of the Belgian King Philippe. It is almost a family outing.

Back to last night. The second day of the state visit ended with the performance in return. This consisted of a concert with a reception hosted by Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa at the Flagey cultural center. King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and Prince Laurent were present at the event.
The “Lëtzbuerger Philharmoniker” provided the evening’s concert. This featured works by the Luxembourgish composer Ivan Boumans and George Gershwin, with Wayne Marshall as conductor and piano player.

Queen Mathilde wears a new white gala dress with a number of suns embroidered with gold thread. The dress is a design by Dries van Noten. I say: wow! What do you think?

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa also purchased a new dress. She chose a floral halter neck dress from Oscar de la Renta for this occasion. I see two radiant ladies!
