‘I am very happy that the story of my life is coming to Amsterdam’
Good news for fashion lovers: the Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion Freak Show is coming to the Netherlands this summer! Not only can you indulge yourself in the most beautiful fashion items, but the show is also filled with music, burlesque, theater and shows!

Concert organizer MOJO recently announced that Jean Paul Gaultier is coming to the Netherlands with his Fashion Freak Show in the Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam. In addition to all the fashion and theater, the show also revolves around different music genres that have inspired Gaultier, from disco to fun and pop to rock.
“I am very happy that the Fashion Freak Show, the story of my life, is coming to Amsterdam,” said Gaultier. “I hope you will enjoy my show as much as I enjoyed making it.” The French fashion designer also says that he has a great love for the Dutch capital and that he has visited it many times.
Premiered
However, this is not the first time that the Fashion Freak Show has been featured. It premiered in 2019 at the legendary Folies Bergère in Paris. The show then toured to London, Tokyo and Munich. During the show, Gaultier looks back on an era of extravagance and tenderness. He also invites the viewer to take a look behind the scenes. In this way they discover Gaultier’s world full of excess, poetry and magic.
The Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion Freak Show can be seen from Wednesday 24 July to Sunday 28 July and will be played eight times. Ticket sales start on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM via ticketmaster.nl.
