After a world premiere in Cannes and international interest, there is now even more beauty.
Last night the Dutch premiere of the Videoland series Máxima, about the life of our queen, took place in the Tuschinski Theater. Naturally, the Glamial editorial staff was present. And there we heard very good news!
Second season
The new Videoland Original high-end drama series Máxima, which can be streamed from Saturday April 20, will get a second season! Peter van der Vorst, Director of Content RTL and Rachel van Bommel, producer Millstreet Films, announced this last night in a packed Royal Theater Tuschinski in Amsterdam during the premiere of the first season of Máxima.
In the second season of Máxima, Delfina Chaves and Martijn Lakemeier once again play the leading roles of Máxima and Willem-Alexander. Elsie de Brauw and Sebastian Koch return for their roles as Beatrix and Claus.
Pride
“We are extremely proud of the quality of this unique Videoland Original and have therefore already decided to order a second series,” says Peter van der Vorst in a statement. “In the first series we see how an Argentinian girl develops into a confident young woman who falls madly in love with a Dutch prince. But of course the story continues. Máxima marries, becomes mother and queen. These are all events that are etched in our collective memory and that we will see again in the future,” he shares.
Maxima
The six-part drama series tells the fascinating life story of Queen Máxima up to the engagement to the Dutch Crown Prince, based on the bestseller by Marcia Luyten. In addition, international actors Valeria Alonso and Daniel Freire have been cast for the roles of Máxima’s parents, María del Carmen Cerruti and Jorge Zorreguieta. Ivan Lapadula plays Máxima’s ex-boyfriend Tiziano. As a featuring artist, Krezip is responsible for the title song of the new Videoland Original, and Krezip also writes a new original song for each episode.
The first season of Máxima can be streamed in the Netherlands on Videoland from Saturday, April 20, and on the same day the first episode can be seen as a Videoland premiere on RTL 4 at 9:35 PM.
