With these make-up tricks you won’t need a facelift anymore

A brighter look in an instant: this is how you do it!

Camouflage a pimple, accentuate your cheekbones or give your lips some extra flair: make-up can be used in all sorts of ways. But did you know that you can also give yourself a ‘natural facelift’ with a few handy tricks? We’ll help you get started.

1. Highlighter in the inner corner of your eye

Trust us, adding a light eyeshadow or a dot of highlighter to the inner corner of your eye can do wonders. If you apply the product to the area where the bridge of your nose meets your inner eye, you’ll instantly wake up. This method can also make your eye color appear more intense. In short, a little highlighter in the inner corner of your eye can give your makeup look that little bit extra.

2. Primer under your eyeshadow

Before you apply any makeup to your eyelids, it’s important to prep them with a nice primer. It’s best to follow up with a layer of concealer after your primer to even out the natural tone of your lids. These steps together create a beautiful base for your eyeshadow — and help your makeup last a lot longer!

3. Dark eyeshadow in your crease

As we age, gravity unfortunately takes its toll on our eyelids. Have your eyes started to droop over the years? Try applying a medium to dark eyeshadow in the crease of your eyelid. This will create depth in your eyes, which will automatically make them appear more open. Tip: apply the eyeshadow with your eyes open. If you apply it with your eye closed, you won’t see much of it when you open your eyes.

4. Tape for a sharp wing

A sharp winged eyeliner will definitely help to give your eyes a lift. If you don’t have a steady hand, you can use make-up tape. Here’s how it works: you apply the make-up tape along the sides of your outer corner, then take a thin slanted brush and gel eyeliner to draw a wing along the tape. When you’re done, pull off the tape, and voilà: you’re left with a perfectly symmetrical, tight winged eyeliner.

5. Fixing mistakes with concealer

When applying our make-up, we all make mistakes. These mistakes can easily be corrected with a small amount of concealer. You can also use this product to give your make-up a tighter finish in certain places, such as around the eyes.
