A good excuse to put our favorite tiaras in the spotlight!
Of course we know that Princess Kate is crazy about her Lover’s Knot tiara. But over the years, her highness has only made her appearance in three different tiaras. Another festive state banquet is planned soon, and so Glamial has secretly started keeping its fingers crossed: would the Princess of Wales debut one of these beautiful diadems soon?
State visit
Royalty connoisseurs know: a state visit usually involves a lavish state banquet. The hosts thank their guests for their presence. There are discussions back and forth (sometimes with a healthy dose of humor), there is dinner, and usually there are plenty of designer gowns, tiaras, and other jewelry to admire.
That is why we are eagerly looking forward to South Korea’s upcoming state visit to the United Kingdom. From November 21 to 23, President Yoon Suk Yeol and South Korean first lady Kim Keon Hee will be guests in the UK.
Of course, this visit offers room for plenty of serious matters, but our eyes are mainly focused on the state banquet that King Charles and Queen Camilla are organizing for their guests on the evening of Tuesday, November 21.
Tiaras
It is expected that Prince William and Princess Kate will also be present. As we slowly spot more and more Windsor heirlooms on various other members of the royal family, you may be wondering: when will Kate emerge with a new tiara? In all her years as a royal, the current Princess of Wales has only worn three tiaras: the famous Lover’s Knot tiara…

…at her wedding she wore the Cartier Halo tiara…

…and as an exception she very occasionally wears the lotus diadem:

But the Windsor vault has many other beautiful diadems! For example, we recently saw Camilla appear for the first time wearing the crown that, according to experts, was the favorite of the late Queen Elizabeth. And at the various memorial services that took place last weekend on Remembrance Sunday, Kate herself also wore some jewelry that was previously often spotted on the queen.
Choice stress
Of course, Kate won’t be able to choose exactly which crown she puts on her head, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream about which gems would look great on the princess, right?
For example, if the Welsh princess wants something completely different from the pieces with diamonds and pearls that she has worn so far, we would like to recommend the Grand Duchess Vladimir tiara:

This work of art features an impressive set of emeralds – and we now know that Princess Kate also looks beautiful.
And hey, if Catherine is really addicted to pearls: that is also an option with this diadem:

Another option would be this one set with rubies, the so-called Oriental Circlet Tiara:

Although it was worn with some regularity by Elizabeth Bowers-Lyon, Queen Liz only pulled it out of the jewelry vault once during a visit to Malta, reports Hello! Magazine. This tiara has a rich history and was given as a gift by Prince Albert to his great love, Queen Victoria, in 1853. We know that Kate is not averse to a red outfit here or there – would the rubies in this tiara also appeal to her highness?
If Kate prefers to keep it a bit basic – as far as possible with a tiara, of course – then the Fringe Tiara is also an option. This glittering work of art has regularly appeared on top of Queen Elizabeth’s royal head over the years.

Choice?
Again: of course, Kate does not simply choose the tiaras. Many of the tiaras worn by the late Queen Elizabeth over the years were personal possessions. After her death, it would be expected that these would largely go to her direct successor: King Charles. Simply taking a crown from the safe without your father-in-law’s permission is not an option.
Either way, we hope Kate will debut a new gem at the upcoming state banquet. And oh well. If she ends up wearing the Lover’s Knot tiara again, we won’t complain.
