Suppose you have sensitive skin and you use a cream that is full of perfume, then it is guaranteed that your skin will react to it. Take such a test when your skin is clean, so that you can immediately check what is going on with you. For example, do this an hour after showering, without applying extra cream. Is your skin dry or does it quickly become greasy? All kinds of points to pay attention to.

Allergies
It is important to know your allergies before starting a skincare routine. Your skin reacts slightly differently to everything. It is possible to have an allergy test done in advance by your GP. You will then get all kinds of allergy possibilities on your arm. They leave it alone and see what the reaction is for each possible allergy. These tests are mainly for some general allergies. It is of course also possible that you will never encounter your allergy, because it is hardly present in any product. Then it is difficult to know exactly which products you would rather not buy. It is mainly a matter of trying. Pay particular attention to how your skin reacts. If you suddenly go from no skincare to a lot, your skin will react anyway. Does it itch a lot, tingle and does the skin swell? Then there is a good chance that you are allergic to something in the cream.
Not the same result
Also remember that skincare does not give immediate results. The next day your skin will still look exactly the same. Even after a week you will most likely not see a difference. Only if you do it right every day will you slowly see results. This result differs for each skin type. Did you have dry skin? Then you can now see that it is a lot better hydrated. You will also notice that your skin flakes much less. Oily skin? Your pimples have probably reduced and your T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) is also less shiny. So only stop your routine if you think something is wrong, for example due to an allergy.
