Martijn gives an update regarding his health with a selfie. He starts the message by thanking him for all the get well wishes he has received. “It does me a lot of good! Standard text, I know, but from the bottom of my heart,” he writes.
Good results
The presenter continues his message sharing the good news about his health. “The first results of my scans are in and they actually look good.” Martijn writes that he is aware that he has been very lucky so far. “It seems like I’m very lucky for now and should actually be grateful. Let me put it this way; it could have been a lot worse.”
Privacy
Although the presenter has been open about his battle with cancer, he chooses not to share details about his health in detail. “It is still too early to say what is actually going on. My illness is my intimacy at the moment and I prefer to remain that way for as long as possible. I hope you understand that.”
