The best looks from the 75th Emmy Awards

Sparkles, ruffles, more is more!

After the beautiful outfits we saw last week at the Golden Globes ceremony, yesterday it was the turn of the crème de la crème of the television world to shine on the red carpet for the Emmys. And there were a lot of successful (and let’s be honest: less successful) looks. From veteran divas to ambitious newcomers, these were our favorite outfits.

Glitter and glamour

We like to see a lot of sparkle on a red carpet. Glitter! Va-va-voom! More is more! And a lot of celebs seemed to convey that message with their outfits at the Emmys.

Actress Jessica Chastain appeared in this unmissable bright green Gucci dress covered from head to toe with sequins. The fringe, which consists entirely of small beads, also provides a lot of dynamics and movement.

Supermodel Padma Lakshmi also opted for a beautiful green dress. Glamor at its finest, this Marchesa copy!

Ted Lasso actress Hannah Waddingham also made waves in this opulent Marchesa gown. A lot of embroidery, a lot of ruffles, an impressive train: we love!

In addition, Elizabeth Debicki showed herself in a custom look from Dior that may have looked very classic from the front, but had a particularly high wow factor with a daring open back. Through the legendary fashion house we also get a unique look behind the scenes at the design process with some sketches of the dress.

Classic black

Of course, a lot of leading ladies in classic black dresses also appeared on the scene. And black is boring? No! You can go in any direction with it.

For example, Chanel ambassador Riley Keough showed herself in a romantic dress from the French fashion house with subtle glittering details…

…English actress Juno Temple in Vera Wang paired a daring bustier top with a dramatic peplum skirt…

…The beautiful Laverne Cox went for a vintage 1989 Mugler look…

…And Niecy Nash was inspired by a healthy dose of old Hollywood glam in this Greta Constantine gown.

Happy party

We also saw a number of young actresses show up in cheerful floral outfits. For example, absolute it girl Jenna Ortega dressed in a custom dress from Dior that was covered with romantic embroidered details. Although she did not win any prizes for her role in Wednesday, this look is an absolute winner in our opinion.

Our absolute favorite of the evening? That’s The White Lotus actress Simona Tabasco. Her stylist shared some unique snaps of the dreamy Marni gown the Italian beauty wore for the occasion. This custom dress is composed entirely in découpage style from images of all kinds of flowers.

Big winners

Well, these were our red carpet favorites, but of course the evening was all about the coveted statues. The ceremony also had a special edge: the 75th edition of the Emmys was originally planned for September 2023. However, after all kinds of strikes in Hollywood, the ceremony was postponed to January. This meant that this 2024 ceremony revolved around the 2023 Emmys, with nominees from 2022 and 2023. Nice and clear!

Be that as it may, these were the nominees and winners of the evening!
