Not only King Frederik and Queen Mary were present in Greenland yesterday. As a surprise, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine were also present for part of the day.
Vincent and Josephine both have a Greenlandic name in their baptismal names, because Greenland is part of the kingdom of Denmark. How nice that they could take a look at this country again.
The royal couple, together with Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, took part in a boat trip in Qeqertarsuaq, where they were informed about the work of the Arctic Station and a new whale microphone was inaugurated. Qeqertarsuaq is home to the Arctic Station, a research station run by the University of Copenhagen that aims to promote scientific Arctic research. The new sound station provides insight into the presence of marine mammals in Disko Bay.
The royal couple then arrived on the royal ship Dannebrog at the Kongebroen in Qeqertarsuaq, where they were received by mayor Ane Hansen and members of the municipal council. The royal couple then attended a reception at Hotel Qeqertarsuaq. Afterwards, they attended a briefing about a children’s project.
Finally, King Frederik, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine took part in the Family Mile version of the Qeqertarsuaq Race. The race is for all islanders. King Frederik is an active athlete, who founded the Royal Run in Denmark. His children and Queen Mary always participate in this. Now King Frederik gave the go-ahead and the youngest two children enjoy participating in the Qeqertarsuaq Race in Greenland.

Fashion Mary
As indicated in the first blog in the Greenland trip, the temperatures in Greenland are very different than here. It is just above freezing, and in some areas it will probably be below freezing. This can also be seen in the clothing of Frederik and Mary and the people around them. The clothing during this tour will therefore be different than what we are used to from Mary. Great for this country 😉 and wonderful to be able to enjoy the pictures. When arriving for the reception, Mary wore a dark blue coat over a dark blue long puffer coat from Uniqlo. Underneath she wears a wine-red turtleneck sweater.
Brown bag from Chloe:
Queen Mary wears a navy Patagonia jacket on the boat with green trousers. At the new sound station she wears a dark brown coat from Zealand Eton over it. Mary completes the ensemble with a wine-red hat.
Outfit Josephine
Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine both wore, among other things, trousers and a jacket from Seeland Eton.
During the race, Josephine wears a dark blue hoodie from Polo Ralph Lauren.
