A bang in the NFL! Bill Belichick is a pure legend in the American Football League. He has been head coach of the New England Patriots since 2000 and led the team to the Super Bowl six times. It was also he who once drafted Tom Brady (46) with the 199th pick and brought home the six trophies together with the star quarterback. After the current season for the Patriots is over, he now announces: Bill is quitting as head coach of the Patriots!
At a joint press conference between the franchise and Bill and the club owner Robert Kraft (82) it was announced that the Patriots were parting ways with the coach after more than 20 years. “I am grateful to have been able to coach here for 24 years. We have achieved more than I could ever imagine. I am proud to have coached some of the best players in history,” emphasized Bill.
Many are shocked that the winningest head coach in NFL history is quitting. Tom also dedicated a few loving lines to him on Instagram. “I am incredibly grateful to have played for the best coach in NFL history. […] We have achieved some amazing things over a long period of time, many of which will be difficult to repeat,” writes Gisele Bündchen’s ex (43) alongside a photo with his former coach.
