‘For all mothers, and those who miss their mothers today’
Yesterday, mothers across the UK were put in the spotlight. While we celebrate Mother’s Day in May, the British already do this in March. A bittersweet moment for King Charles, who has to miss his mother on this special day.

A breakfast in bed, a sweet card, a beautiful bouquet of flowers or a nice scent: there are countless ways to make your mother feel special on Mother’s Day. But what if your mother is no longer there?
The British court shares a beautiful photo from King Charles’ archives via Instagram. “I wish all mothers, and those who miss their mothers today, a happy Mother’s Day,” the photo reads.

The photo shows a youthful Prince Charles sweetly kissing his mother’s hand after she presented him with a prize at polo. Liz is clearly happy with her son: the love radiates from the photo!
Kate and offspring
On Sunday, the Waleses also shared a sweet photo of Kate with her children in honor of Mother’s Day. The photo – which was taken by Prince William – shows a smiling Kate, together with her children Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte.
Princess Kate wishes everyone a happy Mother’s Day, but also takes a moment to reflect on all the sweet messages she has received. She thanks everyone for the support after her operation. “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the past two months,” the princess shares.
A sweet, innocent message in itself, but the photo has taken on a special life of its own. The image is said to have been extensively modified, which is why several news agencies have even withdrawn the image. Aiii!
