The cinema may not be the most obvious location for a royal couple, but King Felipe and Queen Letizia proved on Friday evening that you can also plan a date night at the cinema as a royal. The Spanish royal couple spent some quality time together in this surprising way, and of course images were then taken of it.
Date
Like all kings and queens, Felipe and Letizia undoubtedly have a packed schedule. Precisely for this reason it is so important to relax every now and then and really make time for each other. Last Friday, the royal duo organized a date night. But anyone who thinks Felipe and Letizia avoid the spotlight is wrong.
Cinema
The couple was spotted at the cinema in Madrid. How fun! For the occasion they put on their most comfortable clothes, but as we have come to expect from the royal couple, they still looked the part. They bought tickets at the ticket office and then ordered something tasty to go with the movie. Unfortunately, it is not known which film the lovebirds watched.

Romantic
It is now common knowledge that the Spanish royal couple are not averse to a little romance from time to time. The two met in 2002 and now, more than twenty years later, their love is still radiant. For example, a few months ago they attended the Princess of Asturias awards. During the journalist round afterwards, Felipe and Letizia decided to briefly re-enact their own ‘first meeting’ (which turned out not to be their first meeting at all), which took place at the end of October 2003 at the same awards ceremony. This produced some hilarious images.
The Spanish public broadcaster, RTVE, has again put the images side by side, as can be seen above. From a little white lie to a loving family with two beautiful daughters: Felipe and Letizia have come a long way since that day in 2003!
