They are currently working on a new TV program about celebrities who are locked up in prison. Wait, what? This gives them the true atmosphere of life in prison.
New TV program ‘hell or hotel’
In the Netherlands we know the popular reality program Big Brother. Here too, people are locked up in a house, where they are continuously followed by cameras. However, this house is a lot more luxurious. In the new TV program from producer SimpelZodiak, the luxurious life of celebrities is taken away for a while. Here they learn what things really are like in prison. The TV show is also based on a British TV format called Banged Up. In the Netherlands it has the provisional working title ‘hell or hotel’.
Celebrities in prison
Many people may think that the Dutch prison resembles a hotel. Whether this is really the case, we will find out in ‘hell or hotel’. Famous Dutch people are locked up in prison for five days. There they are each linked to ex-detainees. As a result, the celebrity in question also gets stories from real prison life. So it is not just an entertainment program, but also educational for celebrities and TV viewers. Interesting!
As mentioned, SimpelZodiak makes the TV program. They were previously responsible for popular TV programs such as Expeditie Robinson and Special Forces VIPS. It is currently unknown when ‘Hell or Hotel’ will be shown on TV. We also don’t know how far they have gone with the recording of the TV program.
