Louisa Janssen hopes for understanding
Louisa Janssen shared the sad news on Instagram and said that she had to change her entire agenda to spend this difficult time with her family. “Our uncle will be cremated on Saturday. This is how it is for us: we are not allowed to have parties, so I have to cancel everything for the next 10 days. Sorry for the inconvenience and hope for understanding,” she writes in a Story.
No money for a fancy funeral
As if the loss alone wasn’t bad enough, the family is also struggling with money problems, meaning they can’t arrange a full funeral for the reality star’s uncle. That’s why Louisa asked for a little support on Instagram. “Without insurance we cannot give him a dignified farewell; my cousin Johanna and we as a family ask for a little bit of support. Don’t feel obliged. But every euro we have, we can still arrange a nice farewell for him.”
Tattoo as a tribute to brother
Louisa lost her brother Jan last year and that was a big blow. To always carry him with her, she and her mother decided to get a tattoo with his fingerprint and signature. Louisa wrote on Instagram at the time. “Today I took my mother to a tattoo parlor as a surprise, to put a fingerprint and his signature on our bodies so that we have him with us every day. It is my mother’s first tattoo and I am very proud of her, We now have something from our beloved Jantje on our arms.”
Louisa’s mental struggle after the loss of her brother
Jan’s death was a real blow to Louisa. “I lost myself a bit because of this,” she said honestly. She even went towards a burnout and decided to go to therapy. “I was mainly angry and sad. I deeply regret my behavior towards the people close to me, I let them down and caused them a lot of grief.” Luckily she caught it in time.
