The queen was said to be on a strict diet.
Queen Letizia of Spain always looks the part. Beautiful locks, always fashionably dressed and a good figure. Unfortunately, that figure does not come by chance, as the queen follows a real diet. We will tell you what is involved.
The Perricone Diet
Her health is something that Queen Letizia takes seriously. For example, she would follow the Perricone diet, a diet that ensures that she gets enough healthy food and that focuses on your inner well-being. The diet was developed by dermatologist Nicholas Perricone and contains foods with anti-aging properties and also has numerous benefits for the skin.
The diet is hailed as one of the healthiest in the world because it’s all about your overall health and less about weight loss. Are you trying the Perricone diet like the wife of King Felipe VI? Then you eat lots of vegetables, healthy fats and fresh fish.
On Letizia’s fork
Don’t think about a joyless diet, because Letizia’s breakfast isn’t that bad (although the question remains whether you want to start your morning with a piece of fish on your plate). According to Everyday Health, the queen starts her day with an egg white omelet with smoked salmon and a fresh smoothie.
The queen also often eats a piece of fish with vegetables for lunch, such as grilled white fish on a bed of leafy vegetables with some olive oil and lemon juice. Simple, but quite enjoyable, provided you are not on a vegetarian diet.
And Letizia does snack in between, but opening a bag of Doritos is not an option (carbohydrates, saturated fats and hard cheeses are out of the question). Instead, she opts for a handful of hazelnuts, a bowl of yogurt, green apple slices, berries or olives. And she makes sure she drinks enough. For example, the Perricone diet recommends drinking about three liters of water per day.
Movement
Of course, the queen not only pays attention to her diet, but also to her exercise. She does Zumba, among other things, to maintain her figure and her younger sister Telma Ortiz Rocasolano revealed to Vida y Estilo that her sister really enjoys yoga. The queen is also not afraid of a tough cardio session. She regularly goes running and is sometimes spotted walking with her daughters. So you can say that Letizia maintains a strict regime!
