A wonderful challenge for the family!
While we wait impatiently for the next season of Echte Gooische Moeders, Florine Hofstee announces big news in the run-up to the fourth season. The enterprising mother is taking a giant step!
Setbacks
After a long time of hesitation, Florine made the decision more than two years ago: she and her family moved to Ibiza to partly live there. But while everything at first looked like what she had always dreamed of, a period of considerable setbacks followed. “We recently spent a few months in Ibiza and during that period we had continuous bad luck,” Florine told Vriendin at the end of last year. “Both children were very ill for a few weeks: spitting up, everything. Then our washing machine broke down and we also totaled one of our cars.”
Doubts
The setbacks resulted in a lot of doubts about her future on the island. “Suddenly we only saw the disadvantages of living in Ibiza. Not the dream we had in mind.” Still, Florine and husband Jeroen decided to give Ibiza another chance. “In the end we decided to keep our house in Ibiza. We decided to spend more time and more time in the Netherlands.”
Final decision
It now seems that her doubts have disappeared like snow in the sun, because Florine shares on Instagram that she is permanently going to live in Ibiza. “So exciting…From September our children will go to school in Ibiza, which means that we will live there full-time,” the Real Gooische Mother writes with a cute photo of her sons.

“Next week we will be at our house because the end of the renovation is in sight and we are going to finish everything,” she continues. “FANCY!”
A wonderful challenge for Florine and her family. We hope that she will be very happy in Ibiza, and who knows: does this mean that we will see a lot of Spanish sun in the coming seasons of Echt Gooische Moeders? Just a little more patience!
