The queen shared a cheerful chat.
Yesterday was all about a trip to the Isle of Man for Queen Camilla. Of course, the standard points were on the agenda here – waving, laughing, shaking hands, you know the drill – but Camilla also had a lot of laughs with a joke about grandson Louis.
Isle of Man
With her husband still in hospital, it was only Queen Camilla who came to take a look at the Isle of Man yesterday. She had the honor of officially giving Douglas the status of a city by means of a so-called ‘letters patent’.
The visit was originally planned for King Charles, but he had to cancel due to medical reasons. Camilla did the honors in a blue Anna Valentine gown, with a matching sapphire brooch and blue Chanel bag. Neat and classic, as we know Cam!
There was of course a lot of chatting along the route, the queen received flowers, and she even posed for a few selfies with those present.
Louis
Also along the route was new mother Rachael Hughes with her fifteen-week-old twins Oliver and Louie in ultra-cute matching outfits. She explained afterwards that the queen approached her to ‘admire’ the twins in their blue jackets. “She asked their names and said it gets easier when they are two,” said the lady, who also said Camilla looked ‘fabulous’.
During the meeting, the queen also saw the opportunity to subtly poke fun at her own grandson. When hearing the name ‘Louie’, Camilla is said to have responded: “I have a Louis grandson – you have your hands full!”
Ha! We immediately think of little Prince Louis…
…Who shows himself to be a cheerful little guy again and again.
Or the other Louis?
It could also be that Cam was referring here to her other grandson, fifteen-year-old Louis Lopes, the son of daughter Laura Lopes. Although the young man showed himself to be the epitome of sense of duty during the Coronation as Page of Honor for his grandmother, we can imagine that he also played a number of pranks as a toddler.
