The school dispute among the Royals continues. For years, secondary school has been a topic of conflict for Prince George between his parents Princess Kate (42) and Prince William (41). The ten-year-old still attends the Lambrook school with his siblings. But in three years George will have to move to secondary school. After much back and forth, his father is now said to have won. Because that princess of Wales relents and agrees to send their eldest to Eton, a boys’ boarding school.
It is traditional for the royal children to go to boarding school. Prince William and Prince Harry (39) went to Eton at the time. The heir to the throne’s wish should be to continue the tradition with his offspring. Kate still fought to send her son to Malborough College in Wiltshire. The mother of three attended this school after attending a girls’ boarding school. She is said to have disliked her time at boarding school because she was allegedly a victim of bullying. For this reason, Kate is against boarding school. According to the Daily Mail, it’s very important to her that her kids don’t have to go through the same experiences.
But that’s probably not the only reason why the Brit is not a fan of boarding schools. Insiders explained that the princess considers it a step backwards to place the heir to the throne in a stiff and old-fashioned institution while attempts are currently being made to modernize the monarchy. Ultimately, the royal lady is said to have given in because her son would like to follow in his father’s footsteps.
