The princely couple opens their palace during Christmas. Like every year, Albert and Charlene welcome children from Monaco and hand out presents.
A royal party
The holidays are fast approaching and many people already have their Christmas tree in their living room. The balls are hanging, the lights are on and perhaps the packages are already crying out to be unpacked. This is also the case in the palace in Monaco.
Not only for the princely couple, but also for a group of Monegasque children aged ‘between 5 and 12 years’, as can be read on the social media channels of the Monegasque court. Albert and Charlene’s spacious ‘cottage’ will open its doors to these little guests on December 20.
A party for the people, where, like every year, presents are also handed out to the children.
Totally in the Christmas mood
In any case, Albert and Charlene are already in the Christmas spirit. Last Thursday they organized the official opening of the Christmas market in Monaco. Both the royal couple and Albert’s sister Stéphanie were present. As well as Melanie-Antoinette de Massy, the grandniece of the monarch of Monaco.
At the annual event you will find all kinds of typical Christmas market things, such as stalls, live music and lots of food. But during the grand opening, the royals also enjoyed parades and a light fountain show. Notably absent were Albert’s and Charlene’s children Jacques and Gabriella (8). The twins are said to have stayed at home because the children were not feeling well. It is not known whether Jacques and Gabriella will be at the Christmas party on December 20.
