What can we expect from the Duchess?
Meghan Markle once ran the popular lifestyle blog called The Tig. Shortly after Meghan and Prince Harry’s relationship was confirmed, the website went offline. We have also been missing her on Instagram for a little while. Until now, because Meghan has made her comeback after four years with a mysterious new project!
Living as a non-royal
Long before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, she was already a successful actress, committed to charities, was adored for her style and was a lifestyle blogger. On her website, The Tig, she wrote about her experience as a biracial kid and interviewed fellow celebrities such as Serena Williams and Priyanka Chopra. But she also wrote articles about her favorite holiday destinations, recipes and kept a shopping wish list.
When it became known that Meghan was dating Prince Harry, the website quickly went offline. But now that it has been a while since Meghan and Harry renounced the British royal family, something started to bother the Duchess again.
Comeback
According to British media, Meghan launched a brand new lifestyle brand on Thursday called American Riviera Orchard. She does this with an Instagram account and her own web page. And, the account shows that it is managed by Meghan herself. ‘The Duchess of Sussex, created 2024.’ La Markle is back on the gram after four years!
And not without success, because the account gathered more than 300,000 followers in just a few hours. The American entertainment site Page Six reports that Meghan will focus on lifestyle, food and drinks. We should also expect cookbooks from the Duchess. Through her very first Instagram story, Meghan shares a video of herself cooking.
Personal account
Their own, now inactive, account was also once a great success on Instagram. They had millions of followers in no time and we were regularly treated to some personal snapshots of the couple: baby Archie and behind the scenes photos during state and work visits. If royalty expert Omid Scobie is to be believed, many of the images the couple shared were truly a personal choice and they were very involved in the entire Instagram process. Which probably explained its great popularity.
Well, the Duchess knows better than anyone how social media can help you grow and give you a voice. And now that Meghan no longer has to listen to all kinds of protocols, we are very curious about all the content we will see!
