Johnny’s ex, Shima Kaes, is suing Johnny for attempted manslaughter. That’s no small matter. Johnny and Shima had a relationship between 2014 and 2015. This shocking news is a follow-up to the earlier accusations of abuse made by his ex. She claimed that Johnny had abused her. The Dutch court decided to drop this case in 2020, because there was not enough evidence. Despite the case being dropped, De Mol was temporarily taken off television, but in 2022 he returned to the tube with his program HLF8. There is a good chance that he will also not be seen on TV for a while because of this lawsuit.

When Johnny appeared on TV again, he also spoke out about this case. He denied everything and said that he had done nothing wrong. “There is no truth to it, I did not do any of this and there was certainly no abuse.” Shima did not leave it at that and took further legal steps. As a result, the court decided to summon Johnny after all. According to the Spanish authorities, there is sufficient evidence based on the criminal file to charge Johnny with attempted manslaughter.
