Once a year, the king and queen have an extremely chic dinner with the diplomatic corps. This time Máxima wears a dress from 2011.
The dinner takes place annually to maintain and strengthen international relations and to connect foreign ambassadors and representatives of Dutch organizations on themes. In addition to the foreign ambassadors accredited in the Netherlands, representatives from the internationally active Dutch business community have also been invited. Previous dinners had the theme of science, public administration, art and culture and international law.
Fashion
It has now become a tradition for Máxima to wear a golden oldie during dinner. For example, in 2018 she wore an ensemble from 2001, in 2017 a dress from 2007, in 2016 an ensemble from 2002 and in 2015 a dress from 2002. This time the choice fell on a dress from 2011.

In terms of jewelry, the queen opted for the Peacock Tail Parure. This set was made in 1897 for Wilhelmina, who would be inaugurated the following year. Rubies from Queen Sophie’s estate were used for the parure. The Frankfurt jeweler E. Schürmann was commissioned.
