At least royal expert Tom Bower is sure of that. “I think they’re facing long-term – not immediate, but long-term – financial challenges and they haven’t been able to get a handle on that,” he tells Closer. After the million-dollar deal with Spotify fell through, donations to Harry and Meghan’s Archewell foundation also fell. Even if this is not yet dangerous, they probably have high expenses. For example, the maintenance for her villa in California is said to be around 12.8 million euros, the mortgage at 9.6 million.
There is currently a lot of speculation about whether Harry and Meghan will find a way back to the palace. According to expert Michael Cole, there is only one option to pave this path. “It is difficult to imagine this relationship continuing without an apology from the Duke and the duchess of Sussex can be restored,” Michael emphasized to GB News.
