During a royal visit to a shoe museum, I would show off my shoe gems. Unfortunately, Máxima decided differently.
In addition to a museum, the Schoenenkwartier in Waalwijk also houses a knowledge center and the Schoenenlab: a stage for new design talent, a professional workshop and a study center in one. Waalwijk is located in the heart of De Langstraat, the region where the Brabant shoe and leather industry has traditionally been located. Contemporary designers and makers build on that tradition. The working visit takes place in the context of attention to design, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.

Fashion
In terms of fashion and shoes, Máxima took it remarkably easy. Under a burgundy pantsuit from Claes Iversen she wore classic pumps in the same color.

Máxima’s bag is the so-called Moneypenny by Sophie Habsburg. Here you can read more about Máxima’s favorite bag label.
