During the Spanish state visit, Letizia and Máxima’s agendas were completely empty. Yet the latter did come into the picture.
Máxima regularly takes the partner of a head of state to a museum between the welcome ceremony and the state banquet. In 2017 she went with the Argentinians to the Anne Frank House, Mrs Macron was taken to Keukenhof in 2023. At the request of Queen Letizia, the agenda remained empty during the Spanish state visit. Yet Maxima did come into the picture. While the photographers were waiting at the front of the palace for Amalia, they suddenly saw the queen in front of their lens. At first she was not recognized at all. When you think of a lady in military uniform, you don’t immediately think of majesty. But then it turned out that Mrs. Mambo was being held and was accompanied by security guards. Here is proof that Máxima and Letizia really did not go out together. The Queen went home to exercise and returned in the late afternoon for a stay in the hairdresser’s chair.
