5x self-care exercises to feel better

Loving yourself is very important. Small steps can go a long way, and these self-care tips will help you love yourself more.

1. Self-care meditation

A small meditation session of a few minutes will help you calm your body and mind. For example, do breathing exercises or yoga poses via YouTube or a special yoga or breathing app. You will also find good exercises and tips on social media, such as TikTok or Instagram Reels.

2. Call

Call someone you love, just to catch up and let them know how much you love them. This could be anyone: your grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, brother, sister or a friend. Let them know that they are very important in your life. That not only makes them happy, but also makes you feel. And the relationship will become even stronger than it already was. That is also self-care.

3. Different perspective

Stand in front of the mirror and try to see yourself through someone else’s eyes. Think of someone who loves you, and think of all the sweet things they’ve ever said to you. Whether it is your father or mother, your best friend or your brother or sister. They probably like something about you, so bring back those memories. Do this for at least five minutes and repeat weekly, or whenever you feel less well than normal. You train your brain to embrace the compliments and you will become more confident.

4. Walking

A mental health walk really works wonders. It doesn’t have to be long: ten minutes is more than enough, but you can of course make the tour as long as you want. Stepping away from your responsibilities and getting some fresh air is great for your productivity, and better productivity is also self-care. When you see the results you will be completely blown away.

5. Naked in the mirror

It will feel a bit strange at first, but it is Meghan Trainor’s self-care tip: look at your naked body in the mirror for five minutes. You will find it uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it faster than you think. Over time, you will think more positively about your body and posture. And remember: it is very good to love yourself: self-love.
