The divorce war has left its mark on Kelly Clarkson (41)! The musician was married to Brandon Blackstock (47) from 2013 to 2021. After their separation, the two then had a real mud fight, including a custody battle over their children and compensation payments. The former lovebirds have been officially divorced since last year. Nevertheless it is Kelly currently not ready for a new partner.
In her TV show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” the singer explains honestly: “I think I need to work on myself a little more in a relationship to make sure that I’m taking care of myself and someone else at the same time!” She was sure that her life would be with her Brandon to spend – that is one of the reasons why she is not yet ready for a new love. “I’m enjoying my alone time right now,” she adds.
The divorce from her husband took a toll on the former American Idol winner. How Kelly She recently admitted that she also took antidepressants during this difficult time: “I wouldn’t have made it without them.”
