Fantastic news for Marieke Elsinga! She announced this morning that she is expecting a second child with her boyfriend, Sander. She shared this happy news on the air at Q-Music, and then immediately showed off a few snapshots of her growing baby belly via Instagram.
Pregnant
“Family expansion part II 😍,” Marieke writes enthusiastically on Instagram. She also shares a snapshot of her cat Kiki with a positive pregnancy test. In the second photo, the presenter shows off her growing baby bump. Wow!

New word
Marieke announced live on the radio this morning that she is pregnant. In the morning show on Qmusic, she proudly showed colleague Mattie Valk which words her son can already say. Marieke and Sander already have a 1-year-old son, Jip, together. In addition to ‘apple’ and ‘strawberry’, little Jip recently learned another word: ‘baby’. Too cute!
Unfortunately, the radio DJ does suffer from pregnancy ailments. Marieke said on the radio that she has had ‘lousy weeks’. “Hopefully those weeks are behind me. Yesterday I had a good day, but I had the same last time and then the next day I was miserable.” She also suffers from fatigue and nausea.
Family of four
For Marieke and Sander it still feels a bit unreal that a second child is on the way. “I find it difficult to imagine that we will soon have a family with two children, Sander and I.” Nevertheless, they cannot wait for the little sprout to present itself. Marieke is due in August. “We are so happy with it.”
