Three cheers for the (former) Monaco playboy!
Today is the party in Monaco. Prince Albert gets to blow out 66 candles! The prince of the microstate is now a good family man, but as we know, he has shown himself to be quite a casanova in the past.

He chatted with top models, reportedly had dozens of girlfriends and was one of Monaco’s most coveted bachelors: the time when Albert still had his wild hair was turbulent, to say the least. For years Albert played the eternal bachelor. He loved fast cars, jet set sports, luxury boats and models, lots of models.
For example, the prince maintained close ties with actresses such as Tatum O’Neal and Sharon Stone…
…and Albert had an on-again, off-again relationship with none other than Naomi Campbell in the 1990s. That relationship ultimately came to nothing, but the two remained good friends and His Highness remained a welcome guest at the iconic model’s (legendary) parties. And things sometimes got wild, as can be seen in this snapshot from 2003 of the prince with a mysterious brunette:

Anyway, Albert is now completely happy with his Charlene. In 2000 they met at a swimming competition, and six years later the two made their first appearance together at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. Meanwhile, twins Jacques and Gabriella are the crowning glory of their love, and according to official sources there is of course no problem in the relationship between Albert and Charlene.
However, let’s be honest: Char has clearly not had much of a good time in Monaco in recent years. Of course, there were the health problems that kept her away from the microstate for a year. But in 2019, the princess already made the comment: “People are very quick to say ‘oh, why doesn’t she smile in photos?’ Well, sometimes it’s hard to laugh. They don’t know what’s going on in the background.” Aiii…
Fortunately, the princess seems to be doing better and better, and that wild hair? Albert would now have lost that permanently (and literally). In interviews, the prince always speaks lovingly about his Charlene, and he seems to take his role as a loving husband very seriously. It should be done someday, after those dozens of girlfriends and several illegitimate children. He may have lost his title as a playboy, but the evidence of his wild years is still around.
