The last season of Married at First Sight showed us how Gerben lost his heart to Erik. Despite Gerben’s enthusiasm, Erik, much to Gerben’s chagrin, held the boat back. At the final meeting, the two chose to hand in their rings and sign under the divorce papers. But how is he doing now, a few months later?
Does Gerben have a new love?
The Brabander shares an update via Instagram about how he is currently doing. This question is often asked by his followers, together with the question whether he has already found a new love. The reality star has decided to answer this openly now. “The answer to this is: No, not yet, but I am open to it again when the time comes. I feel good and I enjoy the many kind reactions. I never thought this.”
Aftermath
Although Gerben enjoyed participating in Married at First Sight, the program also has a significant aftermath. “But it still takes some getting used to,” he continues. “Because everywhere you are recognized or addressed. I often run out of time in the day, but that will change in a while.”

Jeppe and Jantine
Even though Gerben and Erik’s marriage did not turn out as hoped, there was still a couple left this past season where the spark really flew. Jeppe and Jantine met each other thanks to Married at First Sight and are still in love and married. How cute is that! However, marriage to Jantine also brought less fun things, such as snuggling together on the couch. Jeppe shared yesterday that he has gained a lot of weight and decides to change course to lose his relationship pounds for good.
