Máxima wears XXL bell sleeves when opened

There are bell sleeves and there are bell sleeves. Máxima chose the latter option today.

The queen was in Ermelo for the opening of the new school building of the Emaus College. The school offers secondary special education to approximately 150 students between the ages of twelve and twenty who benefit from extra attention. The students live at home or in the adjacent orthopedagogical treatment center ‘s Heeren Loo Groot Emaus.

Queen Máxima opened the new school together with a student. She was then given a tour of the building, where students and teachers in various classrooms explained how each student can learn in their own way. Students then showed the schoolyard, which is divided into play zones and a learning garden where outdoor lessons are given. Finally, Queen Máxima entered into discussions with the student council, among others.

‘Everyone can learn!’ is the motto of Emaus College. Students receive appropriate support and tailor-made education in small classes. Teachers provide safety and structure. Attention is paid to both theory and practical lessons such as technology, creativity, cooking, sports and resilience. The Emaus College is part of ‘s Heeren Loo Education and a place where education, healthcare and in some cases also living come together. In this way, treatment goals from healthcare and education can reinforce each other.

Fashion
For the opening, Máxima chose – just like yesterday – a previously worn dress from Natan. The bell sleeves of the creation start at the elbow and end at the wrist. Talk about wow sleeves!
