After the great success of B&B full of Love, RTL now also has a successful winter variant. Recently we have been following season 1 of Winter full of Love en masse and that is now coming to an end. Unfortunately we won’t get a reunion, but we do know how it ended. Will it be a warm winter for all participants or will some not be lucky?
Winter full of Love season 1: this is how it ends
Even before the first season of Winter full of Love had started, RTL announced a second season. That turns out not to be a bad choice, because season 1 is certainly a success. Every week a lot of people talk about the episodes on social media. And the media also likes to talk about the adventures in Winter full of Love season 1, sometimes about some participants a little more, such as ‘open book’ Joshua. Unfortunately for the fans, they now fall into a big black hole again until the summer. The first season is already over and the results are known. How does it end with participants Saul, Edith, Benjamin, Guido and Marco? Well, read on! Then you discover whether everyone has found love.
Saul
Let’s start with Saul, since we already know the outcome for him. In the penultimate episode of Winter full of Love, he already makes his final choice. After all, he can only go on a dream date to Italy with one lady. After much hesitation, his choice is Amy Rose, with whom he feels the most “romantic click”. Of course Amy Rose is very happy. She says she is also madly in love with the real estate agent, who lives and works in Switzerland. Beforehand, Saul never thought he would end up with someone like Amy. But: “Love is very malleable and I am happy with the end result.” She also fits in well with him and within the family: she quickly feels at home. They also both want to have children, something that is important to Saul. He is ready for it himself. Amy Rose thinks she will become pregnant around the age of 23 or 24. However, there is a chance that she already is. The rumors about a pregnancy and engagement are going around a lot… Anyway, the new couple is happy. On to a bright future!
Benjamin
It’s a different story for catering employee Benjamin (26) in Switzerland. The morning after a karaoke evening he discovers that it was a lot of fun. Apparently finance employee Michiel (31), his last potential partner, tried to kiss him twice. Only Benjamin held off in both cases. Maybe that’s why Michiel deleted his nightly texts to Benjamin. The catering employee also has no idea what has been said here. Unfortunately, he doesn’t find out either, because the next day Michiel says goodbye. “I think it’s just best for me to go home,” Michiel says quickly. He is looking for more spontaneity when dating, but this way of dating is not for him. Benjamin then doesn’t get the chance to say anything else, because Michiel walks away in no time with his broken head. Ouch.
Fortunately, Benjamin still has his good friend Anna. Through the love adventure he also knows better what he is looking for in a man. He realizes that he would rather not be completely stuck in a relationship. “I’m looking for more of a lat relationship,” he says. By the way, he doesn’t want to date anyone for a while. “I’m done dating.” He thought Winter full of Love was a special experience, in which he learned a lot. Joshua in particular has taught him a lot. He liked that Joshua was there for so long. As a result, Benjamin discovered a lot about himself and, among other things, where his irritation points lie.
Edith
So as we know, Edith did not find love either. In the penultimate episode she says goodbye to her last potential partner Aroen. She does look back on Winter full of Love with a positive feeling. “I would do it again,” she even says. She then talks about her lengthy wish list. According to her, this is because of her ‘backpack’. During her love adventure, she did date men that she would not have dated before. She considers that a victory for herself. It was certainly educational. During the dates she learned that she also has to get to know someone on the inside. “Whether it will be my friend or partner is another matter,” she says. “But then you have a friend if you just click, like with Bart, for example.”
Speaking of Bart: in the last episode, Edith and son Mats call good friend Bart. He is now back in Limburg and has certainly missed them. Mats thought Bart was the nicest of all the men. “You were okay with that, weren’t you?” Edith responds to him. Although she is also good friends with Bart. They can laugh a lot together. Bart jokes that she can find love in Limburg. Ha! We discover that the adventure has also given him something. Not only a new, good friend, but also a new cookbook. OMG! Yep, Bart wants to learn to cook. Edith promises that she and Mats will try out Bart’s cooking skills. Who knows what will come of that… Love goes through the stomach, right?
Marco
Things seem to be going well between hotel owner Marco (55) and his latest potential love candidate Joyce (48). However, Marco has one major doubt due to a trauma from his past. This makes him doubt whether he is ready for a new partner. During a good conversation in the last episode, he finally comes to a conclusion. “I have discovered that I…” he begins. “I have of course experienced some things. At the moment I feel that it will still be in my way for a while.” Ah, shit… Marco finds it difficult to tell. “I feel like a coward, I don’t know,” he responds, to which Joyce sweetly says: “You’re traumatized. That’s very different.” Aww!
Despite Joyce’s sweet, understanding words, the two do not end their love adventure with a relationship. Joyce finds it a bit difficult to hear, of course. “Fuck, you know,” she responds to the camera. “Give me a chance, you think.” The trauma was induced after a date where they went sledding. Then at one point Joyce became dizzy, which scared Marco very much. However, to be honest, Joyce doesn’t feel the pinch about Marco either. “I think it is also very important that you keep each other awake at night,” she says to the camera. “And you’ll have shaky knees when he arrives.”
As expected, the farewell between the two is difficult. But they are also grateful for their time together. “I met a beautiful person who has a beautiful outlook on life,” Marco says about Joyce. Joyce, in turn, is grateful for the adventure in which she opened her heart to a man for the first time. All’s well that ends well, all right?
Guido
At least that is the case with the last participant Guido. He ends Winter full of Love season 1 with a new partner. And unfortunately for catering employee Esmeralda (36), it is not her, even though she expected it somewhere. Aww… It was a difficult decision for Guido. Yet he is convinced: he is going for Marja, who is currently on sabbatical. When she hears the good news, she is naturally very happy. On the outdoor bench they look like two shy high school students in love. Cute! That’s how Guido feels too, he says. “Well, I can tell you one thing: you don’t look like a first grader anymore,” jokes Marja, who apparently has a good sense of humor after all.
As mentioned, however, it was not easy for Guido. He also felt a connection with Esmeralda. He found her “wonderfully crazy in all the right ways”. She also can’t hold back the tears as she packs her things. Fortunately, Marja is ready for a hug, which she allows. She also likes it for Marja. When saying goodbye, Esmeralda thanks Guido for everything, after which Guido does the same. “Thank you too for everything. I won’t forget this.”
