How do you choose what to get rid of?
When cleaning out your closet, start by thinking about what you want to get rid of. Take everything out of your closet and sort it per item of clothing. Think about if you’ve worn this in the last year. Is the answer to this no and is it not an occasion garment (e.g. a party dress)? Then put it away. See if there are any stains that won’t come out. Then it is also a good idea not to keep it. The same goes for large holes, discoloration or if it starts to pill. Donate the clothes that are still of good quality or sell them on Vinted.
Summer and winter clothes
Is your closet still packed? Then it is a good idea to separate your summer and winter clothes. Put (for example) your winter clothes in a box under your bed or in a storage room. This way you free up space for your summer clothes.
Hang up pants
Do your pants take up a lot of space in your closet? Then you hang them up instead of folding them. Just like for shirts, there are special hangers for trousers. This not only frees up space, it also makes it easier to get your pants out of the closet without making a mess.
To colour
To get a better overview of the cupboard, sorting by color is useful. This way you have a better overview of your clothes. Sorting by length is also a way to do this. Choose what you find most convenient.
Clothing organizers
While folding clothes and stacking them is fine, there is a better way. Stacks sometimes fall over and then your cupboard is messy again. Bins for your clothes are the solution for this. No more problems with fallen stacks and you can also easily sort it by color with bins.
