He’s obviously in a hurry. There will be a royal change in Denmark on Sunday: Queen Margrethe of Denmark (83) will hand over the scepter to her son Crown Prince Frederik (55). He and his wife Princess Mary (51) will then officially become king queen appointed. The ceremony will probably not be as pompous as that of King Charles (75), but it should still be celebrated properly. But Frederiks Brother should go home immediately after the coronation.
The newspaper Billed Bladet reports that Prince Joachim (54) will not spend much time in Copenhagen. After Frederik’s proclamation on Sunday, he will attend the reception in parliament on Monday, but after this ceremony he will leave his homeland. Joachim currently lives with his wife and children in Washington DC, where he works as a defense attaché.
In contrast to the 54-year-old, his two eldest sons will not be at the coronation. It is even said that Count Nikolai (24) and Count Felix (21) did not receive an invitation – that was what Ekstra Bladet claimed. The palace has remained silent about these rumors so far.
